Eyewear designed for modern work has to move beyond a desk. The same frame may appear on a video call, in a client meeting, during travel and after sunset. The frame was developed for that continuity: a defined silhouette, considered material and lens choices that change with the setting.
A frame with its own point of view
The frame began as an original ATÉN drawing rather than a generic catalogue selection. Its proportions are distinctive but controlled, keeping the frame appropriate for professional and everyday wear.
Why Italian acetate
ATÉN chose Italian acetate for its depth of colour, polish and structure. Matte Black offers the most restrained finish; Crystal Clear reveals the frame’s construction; Forest/Tortoise combines a deep green front with tortoiseshell temples. The material is part of the visual identity, not a specification added after the design was finished.
One frame, three lens modes
The same frame is available with Everyday Mode’s subtle warm tint, Focus Mode’s pronounced amber tint and After Hours’ deep red tint. Each changes brightness and colour differently, so the right choice depends on time of day and whether precise colour matters. Compare the measured transmission profiles in the ATÉN Lens Guide.
Designed as eyewear first
The frame is intended to look considered before its function has to be explained. That is the ATÉN position: premium eyewear should not ask the wearer to choose between purpose and presence.
